DAY 1- Fly from London Heathrow to Calgary with Air Canada. Arrive into Calgary and shuttle transfer to Banff.
DAY 2- Banff- At leisure to explore Banff. Maybe don your hiking boots or hire a bike and make the most of the great outdoors. Marvel at impossibly blue glacial lakes, admire the soaring mountains
or perhaps head to the geothermally heated Banff Hot Springs for some relaxation and rejuvenation. Be sure to also allow time for a ride on the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, where the views of six mountain ranges and the sweep of Bow Valley are laid out before you.
DAY 3- Banff- Another day to enjoy Banff independently. Alternatively, optional full day tours are available to the Columbia Icefield (additional expense, from May to October), which starts
with a visit to spectacular Lake Louise before travelling up the world famous Icefields Parkway. At the Columbia Icefield board an Ice Explorer which takes you onto the surface of the ancient Athabasca Glacier before returning to Banff. Other tours to explore the area are also available.
DAY 4- Banff/Jasper- Shuttle transfer from Banff to Jasper. On arrival enjoy the late afternoon at leisure exploring the town of Jasper.
DAY 5- Jasper- At leisure to explore the magnificent Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy activities such as hiking and mountain biking, take a ride on the Jasper Skytram for jaw-dropping views at the summit. Tours are also available at extra expense.
DAY 6- Jasper/Kamloops- Board the Rocky Mountaineer train early morning, travelling in SilverLeaf Service to Kamloops, located in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. Enjoy the dramatic surroundings and scenery of the Continental Divide and the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard. Highlights include Mount
Robson, Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops. Arrive in Kamloops and spend the evening exploring the town or relaxing in your hotel.
DAY 7- Kamloops/Vancouver- Board the Rocky Mountaineer train early morning. This journey offers sweeping panoramic views and dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Arrive in Vancouver in the evening and transfer independently to your hotel.
DAY 8- Vancouver- A full day free for you to explore this wonderful city. You might want to do some shopping on Robson Street, relax in Vancouver's playground, Stanley Park or stroll through the markets of Granville Island. If you prefer to explore the outdoors, take a gondola ride to the summit
of Grouse Mountain or head to the nearby Capilano Suspension Bridge.
DAY 9- Vancouver- Further time to explore Vancouver or opt to join an optional full day Whistler Mountain and Adventure tour (additional expense), exploring the Sea-to-Sky Highway on your way
to Whistler Village. Marvel at the second largest granite monolith in the world as you travel amidst the 2133-metrehigh majestic peaks of the Coastal Mountains. Stops enroute include Shannon Falls – the third highest waterfall in British Columbia, several viewpoints to take in the glaciers and glacier fiord (Britannia Beach) and admission to the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre and Museum, before returning to Vancouver.
DAY 10- Vancouver/UK- Your tour concludes, make your way independently back to the airport before your flight home to London Heathrow with Air Canada.
